Moffett Wins in Nenagh
The Triton Showers Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship resumed last weekend with the Birr Stages Rally 2026.
On this nine special stage event based between Nenagh and Borrisokane, Josh Moffett/Keith Moriarty finished 1st overall in their Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.
They finished 6.2s ahead of Shane Quinn/Stephen Reynolds who were using a Ford Fiesta Rally2.
Paul Barrett/Darragh Kelly took their Citroën C3 Rally2 to 5th place and 2nd in class 5.
Pierce O’Callaghan guided Jonathan Pringle to 10th overall and 2nd in class 14.
Killian McArdle navigated Joseph Kelly to 12th overall.
David Moffett/Martin Connolly took their Toyota Starlet home with 3rd in class 14.
Johno Doogan/Paul Lennon finished 19th overall.
James McCarville/Arthur Kierans finished 3rd in class 13.
Justin Smyth/Ciaran McGorman finished 36th overall and 1st in class 12.
Michael Conlon/Domhnall Lennon finished 39th overall and 2nd in class 12.
Jack Maguire/Keith McConnon finished 46th overall and 1st in class 11F. Daniel McConnon guided Gavin McGivney to 62nd overall.
Conor Boylan and Ciaran Sherry were in Moneyglass last weekend competing in Round 2 of the Buggly Ireland Championship. Conor survived a few close calls to finish in 13th place overall and 2nd in class while Ciaran had throttle cable issues but survived to finish 30th overall.
Bobby Connolly was competing in Round 1 of the Tullyallen Kart Club Championship last weekend at the Whiteriver Karting track. Bobby finished 9th overall in the Junior X30 Qualifying.
Regulations and entry are now published and available for the 2026 Four Seasons Hotel Ronnie Hawe Monaghan Stages Rally. Thomas Treanor and team have picked three demanding stages in the north Monaghan region. The event will take place on Sunday April 12th.
