Ronnie Hawe Monaghan Stages Rally Postponed
Unfortunately, news broke late on Friday night last that the Four Seasons Hotel Ronnie Hawe Monaghan Stages Rally 2026 was going to be postponed due to the current fuel prise protest which blocked an important road junction in the area.
County Monaghan Motor Club CLG are working with Motorsport Ireland and other relevant parties to secure a new date for this prestigious event.
There was a brace of County Monaghan Motor Club CLG members competing in Spain last weekend.
Killian McArdle navigating for Casey Jay Coleman and Paul McPhillips navigating for Cian Caldwell were taking part in Rallye La Lana 2026.
The two crews were using this event as preparation for Andalucía Rally Sierra Morena Córdoba World Heritage Site 2026.
The Andalucia event will be the opening round of the 2026 European Rally Championship and the Fiesta Rally3 Trophy 2026.
On last weekends Rallye La Lana 2026, Killian and Casey Jay finished 19th overall and were the 2nd placed crew using the Ford Fiesta Rally3, the car in which they will be using in the Fiesta Rally3 Trophy championship.
Paul and Cian finished their event in 21st overall and were the 3rd Ford Fiesta Rally3 home.
They also will be using that same car in the Fiesta Rally3 Trophy championship.
