June 7 2026

The Bear Competitions Tyrone Stages Rally took place at Benone County Derry last weekend.

This event hosted by the Cookstown Motor Club Ltd, was the fourth round in the 2026 Sligo Pallets Border Rally Championship.

Damien Connolly was the top finishing Co. Monaghan Motor Club member as he navigated Peadar Hurson to 4th place in their Volkswagen Polo GTi R5.

Pub landlord Adam Langan navigated David Porter to 22nd overall in their Ford Fiesta R5.

It’s crazy how Adam, even though he wasn’t working behind the bar at Annie McGinn’s, he still made sure to be working with porter. That just shows his commitment to the cause.

Michael Conlon and Domhnall Lennon finished 26th overall and 5th in class 6 using their trusty Ford Escort MkII.

Cathal Sheridan/Andrew Wedlock took their Vauxhall Nova home in 40th overall and 7th in class 8.

The Triton Showers National Rally Championship continued with the Circuit of Munster Stages Rally on May 31st.

In this Co. Limerick based event, Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty took the victory by 5.8s over Keelan Grogan/Ayrton Sherlock using their Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.

Cathan McCourt/Barry McNulty finished in 4th place and took the win in class 5 using their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.

Kaine Treanor guided Declan Boyle to 6th overall and 3rd

In class 5. Jack Maguire/Keith McConnon finished 40th overall and 1st in class 11F.

Ryan Brennan made his return to the stages in style as he and Jake Mohony finished 57th overall and 2nd in class 11R onboard their Toyota Corolla Twin-Cam.

We are incredibly pleased to have a new date secured for the 2026

Ronnie Hawe Monaghan Stages Rally.

Our team has put an immense amount of work into the original route and logistics, so being able to move forward with the same competitive stages and facilities at the Four Seasons Hotel is a huge win for the competitors and the local community. We are very grateful for the understanding and support received from Clare Motor Club and all our stakeholders and sponsors in facilitating the new date of Sunday 2nd August. We plan to publish regulations for the event soon with a view to opening for entries on 22nd June. I want to personally thank Clare Motor Club; their decision to step aside for us is a testament to the camaraderie within the Irish rallying family. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Monaghan on August 2nd for what promises to be a fantastic day of motorsport.
